Artist Bio

British born artist and illustrator, Stuart Anthony Wright, studied illustration and fine art printmaking at the Loughborough University School of Art and Design. It was here that Stuart discovered his love for creating works inspired by wildlife.

For his final degree show exhibition, Stuart created a series of works that explored the human impact on critically endangered Sea Turtle species. This collection incorporated a mixture of media and techniques from traditional intaglio printmaking to painting and sculpture installation. These works attracted the attention of a number of commercial galleries across the UK.

Over the course of the past decade, Stuart has worked steadily as an illustrator and commission artist, producing rare and exclusive collections of work that have ended up in private collections. His passion for wildlife and conservation has prompted Stuart to participate in a number of community art events. These art trails require artists to adorn life-size sculptures of iconic species with custom designs in support of conservation charities.

Stuart’s technique now gravitates towards painting, where his unique style allows him to experiment with a variety of media to capture bold, dynamic representations of wildlife.

Having recently relocated to the Cayman Islands, Stuart’s work now focuses on the Islands’ exquisite marine and avian species.
